
Diane Maureen (Owen) Epling was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Clemmons, NC.
Diane was born December 16, 1947, in Toledo to George and JoAnn Owen. She graduated from Woodville High School where she was active in the marching band and served as editor of the yearbook and newspaper. She married the love of her life, Dennis Epling, and was his devoted wife for over 45 years. She was loved by many through her work as a cosmetologist and practice manager. She found great enjoyment in watching her three sons participate in athletics and was faithful to support them in every aspect of their lives. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and grew in Him daily. In 2003, she and her husband relocated to North Carolina. She continued to demonstrate her love and commitment to her family and serve as a Godly example for her grandchildren and countless others. She enjoyed baking, reading, spending time with family and church members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, JoDee Owen Crawfoot. Surviving are her loving husband, Dennis, three sons, Dean (Emily) Epling and Dane (Amy) Epling of NC, Derek Epling of Ohio, a sister Candy (Marv) Shaw of Ohio, 8 grandchildren Drew, Anna, Emma, Morgan, Will, Dakota, Danielle, and Dustin, special nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Friends Baptist Church in Clemmons, NC, graveside services will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Friends Baptist Church, 1840 Lewisville-Clemmons Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012.
