She was born in York, Pennsylvania on August 29. 1928 to the late Richard Barto Frey and Anna Mae Schuman Frey.
In her youth, she was very active with swimming, life guarding, and competitive roller-skating dance. She graduated at 16 from William Penn High School and began work in the school office, soon becoming secretary to the principal.
In her adult life, she was a homemaker and Girl Scout troop organizer. She and her husband spent many years traveling and enjoying their log cabin in the mountains with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially the love of her life, her husband, Fred. She adored her daughter and four granddaughters and had a special bond with each of them. She was thrilled when her two great grandchildren, Webb and Sally Lathan, were born. They brought her such joy. At the end of her life, her favorite friend was the family dog, Stanley. He came with her daughter to visit and she always wanted him on her lap giving her kisses.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Frederick C. Martin. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy (Greg) Klein; granddaughters, Tracy (Toby) Lathan, Colleen (Dom Volini) Phelan, Laura (Mark) Saine, and Grace Klein; great grandchildren, Webb Lathan and Sally Lathan; sister-in-law, Anna Landis; close family friend, Nancy Morehouse; and many other loved ones and friends.
The funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 31st at 11am Holy Family Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation starting at 10am. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
