

Dorothy was born July 9, 1910 in Granite Quarry, NC the daughter to the late Henry C. Hartman and the late Mary Dry Hartman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell R. Tesh, and three siblings, Jim Hartman, John Hartman, and Jessie Tesh. She was a member of First Christian Church of Winston Salem, a member of Soroptiminst’s International and Credit Women Breakfast Club. She enjoyed traveling, water sports and was still water skiing at the age of 70. She was the office manager of Watkins Bookstore and later helped foresee her husband business Tesh Wholesale. Dorothy loved her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia “Pat” Cooke and husband, Jack of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Dottie Cooke of Greensboro, Jacky Cooke and wife, Susan of Greensboro, and Wendy McDonald and husband, Wayne of Greensboro; nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Thursday, August 21st at Forsyth Memorial Park.
