Mr. Cromer was born November 26, 1930, to Ernest and Eva Cromer in Forsyth County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Melvin Cromer, two sisters Inez Styera and Evelyn Paple.
Surviving is his wife, Patty Hawkins, one brother, Bill Cromer (Betty), nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cromer retired from Brown Williamson Tobacco Company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He lived his Christian Testimony by serving and caring for others. His love for animals was known though out his life.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, at Frank Vogler and Sons on Reynolda Rd. from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm at Gardens of Memory on Walkertown Rd. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be given to Hospice and Palliative Care.
