Ethel Jean Livengood Bowden

She was born on September 19, 1932 to the late Carl and Ethel Livengood. Ethel was a retired Hanes Hosiery Employee.

She was a member of King Christian Center in King, NC. She was a servant in the Children’s Dept, and also took part in dramas as an angel.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Ethel enjoyed painting ceramics; she entered several pieces in the fair and received some 1st place ribbons.

Ethel is predeceased by her husband, Jasper T Bowden, Sr. and her son, Carl E. Bowden.

She is survived by sons, J.T. Bowden, Jr. and Joel W. Bowden; daughter, Shirley (Lee) East; granddaughter, Ashley L. East; grandsons, Jeffrey and Theodore Bowden; sisters, Mae Ayers and Shirley Hauser; brothers, Carl Livengood, Jr. and Bobby Livengood; and many other loved ones.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 27 at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd, at 11 am. Pastor Randall Smith will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour before the service for a Visitation. Ethel will be laid to rest at Forsyth Memorial Park following the service.
