Evelyn Murphy Dunn, 89, of Advance passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 11, 1927 in Yadkin County to Benjamin Harrison and Lela Davis Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Reno Dunn. Surviving are four children, Barbara Smith, Dewey Dunn (Ann), Sherman Dunn (Linda) and Sandra Cline (Kevin); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 24, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Chuck Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
