

LEWISVILLE- Mrs. Frances Mae Hutchins Stewart of Lewisville, NC died on September 17, 2013 at the Pallative Care unit of Forsyth Medical Center. She had bravely battled cancer for the last two and a half years. She was born on November 13, 1936 in Pfafftown, NC. She was the daughter of the late Andrew H. and Myrtle Shelton Hutchins. Mrs. Stewart was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Clemmons, NC, prior to family illness.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry Carl Stewart, son Bryan Stewart, and daughter in law Maria Stewart. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Meredith and Marcus Stewart, both who she greatly adored. She is also survived by one sister, Grace Weatherman. She is also survived by three sister in laws, Lottie Mae Hutchins, Madgalene Stewart, and Violet Swain. Lottie Mae and Madgalene were her "two angels" in her fight against cancer and the family will be forever in their debt. She is also survived by one brother in law, Raymond Plemmons. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, and friends.
Preceding her in death, were her parents, two brothers, Roy and Tommy Hutchins, and a sister, Elizabeth Plemmons.
Frances was a great woman, a great wife, a great mother, a loving grandmother. She was one of the best, most kind, helpful, funny, and most giving people, you could have ever hoped to meet. Everyone who knew her were blessed. She loved visitors and upon their leaving, she was best known for the line "I wish you didn't have to leave."
A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel. Reverend Paul Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.
