

Frank was born in Beaver County in Freedom, PA on March 16, 1928 to the late, Joseph S. and Susan M. Schreiner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six siblings; Charlie, Eddie, Joe, Anna, Elizabeth, and Lillian. He was a member of The Church of the Nazarene in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He served his country joining the US Navy in 1945, witnessing the Atomic Bomb tests at Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands and served on the USS Toledo, USS Los Angeles, and USS Pal Myra. Frank was an expert at Morris code who had the privilege of teaching it to his fellow seaman. He was a jack of all trades which included welding, carpentry, and amateur radio. Frank enjoyed spending time with his Amateur Radio, the beach, outdoors; fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a man that was dearly loved by everyone who knew him and was a Christian who loved and knew God.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bea Schreiner; two sons, Frank L. Schreiner of Winston-Salem and James C. Schreiner and wife, Olivia of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Bridgette R. Davis and husband, Bryan of Mars Hill, NC and Jennifer Lynn Powell and husband, Diego, of Roanoke, VA; seven great grandchildren, Hannah, Bethany, Kayla, Tabetha, Diego, Dominic, and Davin; three brothers, Harvey Schreiner, Oliver Schreiner, and William Schreiner; and one sister, Lilly Schreiner.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 21st at 2 pm in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home Clemmons. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, NC.
