
Garvey Monroe Dameron, 71, passed away Thursday (9/30) at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1939 to the late Henry and Etta (Walker) Dameron formerly of Elkin, NC and was also preceded in death by his brother Allan Dameron, formerly of Holden beach. Mr. Dameron was a faithful member of Pfafftown Baptist Church and served in the United States Army.
Surviving family includes his loving wife of forty nine years Claudia S. Dameron; son, Russ, his daughter in love Sandy and son Scott, all of Pfafftown, NC; three precious grandchildren Tori, Dylan, and Tyler, who were the light of his life; sister Betty Dameron of Elkin; brother James Dameron of Yadkinville; many special nieces and nephews; several brothers in law and sisters in law; and his special dog Bella. Garvey was a loving husband, father, and “GaGa.” His hugs will truly be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pfafftown Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday (10/3) at Pfafftown Baptist Church, 4336 Transou Road, Pfafftown followed by a 3:30 PM graveside funeral service at the Gazebo at Forsyth Memorial Park.
