Helen Jones McBride, 97, of Lewisville passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was born January 6, 1919 to Joseph Lanier Jones and Ida Wells Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Emile D> Jones, her husband Harold McBride, a daughter, Ida Mae Disher, a great grandchild, Clint Disher, 2 brothers, Robert and Joseph Jones and a son-in-law, Ray Reagan. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Bumgardner (Wayne), Louise V. Sams (Larry), Harriet Reagan (Omega Stephens) : 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Ester Kelly, one brother, Cecil Jones, and two son-in-laws Bob Vogler and Frank Disher.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14th at 3:00 pm at Union United Methodist Church, 8935 Shallowford Road, Lewisville, NC. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Helen's name.
