

Winston-Salem-Mr. Joseph Odell Fulp, 80, died at his residence on December 20, 2012. Funeral services will be at 1 PM, Monday, December 24, 2012 at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel with Pastor John White officiating. Interment will take place at Forsyth Memorial Park.
Mr. Fulp was born in Forsyth County one of eight children to the late Mr. and Mrs. Emory Jasper and Sarah Frances Bovender Fulp, Sr. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. After 33 1/3 years of service he retired as a machine operator with RJ Reynolds-Archer. He married Geneva James Fulp and together they have shared 59 years together. Joe was a fun loving man who loved to joke with people and had a nickname for everyone. He loved to camp and visit the beach and family events were his favorite activity as he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He has passed along to his children his strong work ethic and to stand up for what one believes in. For Joe it was his love for his family and his God. His friends at Oldtown Biscuitville will miss him and Geneva as they have been eating breakfast there together for more than ten years.
He is survived by his loving wife Geneva James Fulp; two sons, Joseph O. Fulp, Jr. of Advance and Daniel W. Fulp and wife Patty of Clemmons; grandchildren, Teresa Fulp, Matthew Fulp and wife Charity, Michael Fulp, Christopher Fulp and Ashely Cheeks and husband Brandon; two great grandchildren, Aubree and Chloe’ Fulp; brother, Coleman Fulp of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
