Katherine Hill Hobson

Katherine Hill Hobson, 88, passed away on Friday, August 21st at Trinity Elms Skilled Care Facility in Clemmons. She was born on May 26, 1927 in Stokes County, NC to Frank and Kate Hill. She had been in declining health for several years and was diagnosed with lung cancer in June.

She is survived by her son, Kent Hobson (Jeanne) of Clemmons, 2 granddaughters Lindsay Kiger (Brad) of Arlington, VA and Bryn Hobson of Clemmons.

She is also survived by her sister Ann McClintock of Raleigh and a brother Robert ‘Jack’ Hill (Alice) of Winston – Salem and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband A.A. (Bert) Hobson, 2 brothers Richard and Thomas Hill and 1 sister Betty Taylor.

She was a member of College Park Baptist Church where she worked in the 2 year-old Sunday school class and was a member of the Ruth Class at her death.

She was retired from Edwards Metal Shop where she was the Office Manager.

Visitation will be at Vogler’s Reynolda Road from 6-8pm on Monday, August 24th 2015 and a service of celebration will be held at College Park Baptist Church at 11am on Tuesday, August 25th 2015. Interment will be at Forsyth Memorial Park immediately after the service.
