Larry "Brent" Bruner

Larry Brent Bruner, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1943 to the late Wendell and Lillie Bruner in Surry County. Brent was a native of Surry County.

Brent served in the United States Army under the 101st Airborne Division, 82nd Airborne Division and 9th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War, where he earned the rank of Captain. Brent then went on to serve as president and broker/owner of Re/Max Realty Consultants in Winston-Salem.

Brent is survived by his son, Jon Bruner; daughter, Catherine (Richard) Fields; grandson, Daulton Bruner; and granddaughter Emerson Vanzant; as well as a very special friend, Jennifer Fulford.

Brent is preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Lillie Bruner, and his wife, Jo Ann Tillman Bruner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Liberty Lane Hospice House, Building 43, C/O W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144.

A service will be held for Brent Bruner on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolda Church on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place at Forsyth Memorial Park after the funeral services.
