
She was born April 17, 1919 at Rocky Point, Pender County, North Carolina, to Harris B. and Elizabeth Hull Westbrook Bloodworth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thad W. Tate, Sr., her parents, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two nephews, Robert W. Bloodworth, Jr. and wife, Shannon, of Fayetville, North Carolina, and George H. Bloodworth and wife, Lila, of Jefferson, North Carolina; one great nephew, and three great nieces. Also surviving is a special niece of her late husband whom she claimed as her own, Patricia “Pat” Tate Wiaver.
Mrs. Tate lived in Fayetteville and Wilmington, North Carolina before coming to Winston-Salem in 1947.
The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone at Clemmons Village II for all of their care and support.
Interment of ashes will be private. There will be no service. Memorials may be made to the donors’ choice.
