Mary Rebecca Martin

Becky was born on May 19, 1923 in Davie County to the late Edward and Mary Cope who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, P.B. Martin Jr., her daughter, Paula Lynn Martin, and her grandson, Daniel Webster Martin, three brothers, Clarence, Edward and Nollie.

She is survived by her son, Paul A. Martin and wife, Pat of Walkertown; three grandsons, Richard Brian Russell and wife, Jourdan of Kernersville, Paul A. Martin Jr. and Joshua W. Martin of Walkertown; great grandson, Asher Jacob Crow Martin of Walkertown; her closest friend, caregiver and “adopted” daughter, Mary Ann Harris of Kernersville; several nieces and nephews; and two sister in laws Ruth Ann McNeil and husband, Otis and Carol McNeil of Walkertown. She was a member of Love’s United Methodist Church of Walkertown.

A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Saturday at Walkertown Gardens of Memory with Rev. Kent Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Edgewood Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
