Mary Ogburn Welborn

Mary Ogburn Welborn, 94, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She was born August 11, 1923 in Forsyth County to Thomas H. and Beulah R. Ogburn. She retired after 30 years of service from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1988. Mary was a volunteer for many years at Salemtowne where she received recognition for her loyal service. She was an extensive traveler and a very active servant at her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a great granddaughter. Surviving are 2 sons, Ken Welborn (Gail) and Steve Welborn (Brenda); 3 grandchildren, Dusty Welborn (Kristi), Jason Welborn (Selena), Allison Reich (Brian); 4 great grandchildren, Nikki Welborn, Tanner and Tate Welborn and Charlize Reich, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Chuck Harmon officiating. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of of Universal Health Care of King and Mountain Valley Hospice of Pilot Mountain for their love and support.
