He was born on March 19, 1927 in Victory Mills, NY to the late Frederick and Rose LaPierre Boivin. Dr. Boivin graduated from Schuylerville High School in NY in 1947. In 1956, he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis. He practiced as a Chiropractor in Indiana, New York and Vermont. He then went on to become the director of Respiratory Therapy at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, FL.
Paul joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 and proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion at the Schuylerville Branch. He also served in the Knights of Columbus.
Paul married the love of his life, Shirley Pett, on May 14, 1950, and they shared over 60 years of love and friendship that was an inspiration to all who knew them. Paul and Shirley moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1967 where they raised their three children.
Paul will be truly missed by all. He never met a stranger, was friendly to everyone, and created family wherever he went.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Pett Boivin, and beloved son, Kevin Boivin. Dr. Boivin is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Andrew Honey and Jennifer and Theodore Wojciechowski; brother, Charles Boivin; and many, many other loved ones and friends.
In North Carolina, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 2pm at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, 2849 Middlebrook Drive, Clemmons, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In Florida a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 28th at 1:30pm at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, FL
Final resting place will be Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. A military funeral service will be held in August 2019.
