Mr. Richard P. McCotter

Mr. Richard P. McCotter, 63, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at home. He was born March 15, 1948, to Burney and Margaret McCotter. Mr. McCotter graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh and from Wake Forest University with a degree in Accounting. He was a CPA with his own firm in Winston-Salem for many years. He served in the Army National Guard after college and returned to the Winston-Salem area and was a long time member of the Winston-Salem community.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dinah White McCotter, his daughter, Shannon, his son, Trent and sister, Karen, his mother- and father-in-law, Herman and Una White, and his many close friends.

There will be a memorial service of immediate family and close friends at Vogler & Sons Funeral Home on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem at 11:00 on Friday, April 29, 2011.
