

Ronald Cary Mayberry, 59, of Winston Salem, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2011. Born in Statesville to the late Jurel E. and Geraldine Seagle Mayberry, he was a bus driver with the Forsyth County School System and also co-owned J & R Watercraft Rentals.
Surviving family includes his wife of twenty one years, Sandra Hall Mayberry, Winston-Salem; sister in law Christy (Allen) Oakley Walkertown; special nieces Kim (John) Wood, Kernersville and Jaime (Scott) Wright, King; very special grandnephew and grandniece Ethan Wright and Emma Wood; loving dogs Austin and Lucky; cat Ryker; and numerous other special animals; sisters Gloria (Larry) Freeman, Pennsylvania, Gayle (David) Lederer, Cindy Riffe, and April Mayberry all of Statesville, and Jo Barnes of Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews; and son Christopher Mayberry and one granddaughter.
Mr. Mayberry was graduated from Catawba Valley Technical Institute and was a member of the Winston-Salem Rescue Squad, the Thomasville Rescue Squad, as well as an instructor in technical animal rescue. He was also an avid fisherman, bowler, and golfer.
The Family and Friends will visit, celebrating the Life of Ronald Cary Mayberry, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Vogler Funeral Home, Reynolda Road Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road (336-722-6106).
