Mrs. Ruth B. Yarbrough

Ruth B. Yarbrough, 95, of Winston-Salem passed away October 16, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and her brothers Ibry and David Browne. She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Yarbrough and wife Debbie of New Bern; Fred Yarbrough and wife Susan of Sunset Beach; C.B. Yarbrough and wife Robin of Sunset Beach; and daughter Annette Odom and husband Al of Highlands; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was a life-long member of North Point Baptist Church; and she was an active member of Independence Village where she served on the Resident Board of Directors, and her absence will be felt by her many friends she made while a resident of Independence Village. She will be missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolds Road Chapel with interment to follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. or North Point Baptist Church.
