Shirley Ann Matthews Patton

She was born on September 24, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to Paul Raymond Matthews and Catherine May Southworth Matthews.

Shirley was strong in faith and a member of Cedarville United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania. She was an avid crafter. Shirley loved to play games and do puzzles with her family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (GiGi).

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Francis Patton; son, Brett Patton; sister, Sue Matthews; and sister-in-law, Ginny Matthews. She leaves behind her children, Bart (Marybeth) Patton, Anna Davidson, and Paula (Jim) Masotti; daughter-in-law, Laurie Lyons; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul “Matt” Raymond Matthews, Jr. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and her dog and companion, Peppy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 2pm at Cedarville United Methodist Church in Pottstown, PA, 1092 Laurelwood Rd. There will be a gathering of family and friends following the service.
