Thomas Edison Howell

February 20, 1947 - December 18, 2013

Thomas (Tom) E. Howell, 66, of Old Byerly Road, Clemmons passed away at home on December 18, 2013. He was born in Ashe County, North Carolina to Edison and Cleo Howell on February 20, 1947.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a retiree of RJReynolds Tobacco Company where he was an employee for 32 years and was a member of Centenary United Methodist in Clemmons.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn (Kathy) Howell; his daughter, Tracie Howell of Clemmons; two grandchildren, Matthew & Jessie Clodfelter of Clemmons; and three sisters, Joyce Renegar of Wallburg, Lois Carriker of Leland, and Martha Howell of Lewisville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edison & Cleo Howell; his brother Robert Howell, and his sister Nancy Tise.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 20th at Volger's in Clemmons from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, Clemmons followed by burial at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials are asked to be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center.
