

Tony Monroe Alexander passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025. Tony was born on September 30, 1937, in Waughtown, NC to Lex Alexander and Rachel Brown Alexander. He graduated from Gray High School in 1955.
He worked at Western Electric on Reynolda Road as a graphic artist for 35 years. After retiring, he volunteered for the American Cancer Society for 20 years, driving cancer patients to treatments and appointments. He was a prominent member of Clemmons Moravian Church where he led the Building Committee for many years, served many a Lovefeast, and washed more coffee cups than you knew existed. He married the love of his life, Keith Ann Dunlap, in 1969, whom he was married to for 56 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Victor Alexander.
Tony is survived by his wife, Keith Ann; daughters, Laura Hensel and Rachel Larkin (Robert); as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tony was the sweetest man. He did his own yard work all his days. He was an avid golfer with a beautiful swing. He had impeccable style, loved his family, and loved going to the beach. Tony loved the Lord. He was famous for wrapping Christmas presents and not putting names on them; you never knew who's present you would get! He will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Clemmons Moravian Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.
