

Mr. William Emory Tschopp, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Tschopp was born in Lafayette, Indiana to the late William Emory and Edith Francis Tschopp.
Mr. Tschopp attended Purdue University and Illinois State College. He served 4 years in the US Army during WWII where he learned to fly. He held an Airline Transport Rating and was chief pilot for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation for 18 years.
Mr. Tschopp was one of the first elected members of the Village of Clemmons town council.
He was an avid Amateur Radio Operator.
Mr. Tschopp was a faithful member of Clemmons United Methodist Church for 47 years.
Mr. Tschopp was preceded in death by his sister, Birdie Tschopp; brothers, Jack and Dan Tschopp; and grandson, Jared Braxton Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn and his children, Barbara T. Pope (Donnie), William Emory Tschopp, and Tracy T. Thompson (E.V); grandchildren, Daniel F. Reavis (Melissa), Brandy T. Crisco (Spence), William F. Tschopp (Jennifer), and Amanda T. Greenwood (Brian); great grandchildren, Ethan and Samuel Reavis, Abby and Olivia Crisco, Keifer, Randsom, and Gunner Tschopp, Brianna and Alyssa Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CUMC Preschool Scholarship, 3700 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011, 2:30 p.m., at Clemmons United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. prior to service at the church.
Entombment will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
