

Arlene Spector, a proud graduate of Glenville High School, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. She was a dedicated member of the Young People’s Congregation (YPC) of Heights Temple and had a passion for crafting, particularly working with lead glass, clay, and jewelry.
From a young age, Arlene knew she would marry Gary Spector after meeting him at age 12. She shared with her mother that she would be his wife, and several years later, they did marry.
In her later years, Arlene cherished her role as a grandmother to her eight grandchildren and a great-grandmother to her seven great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Steven; daughters, Laura (Jody) Katzner and Sheryl (Robert) Eberhardt; grandchildren Jami Harrill, Dani (Randy) Labbato, Katie Spector, Jonathan (Anna) Katzner, Dara Katzner, Jackie Eyre, Joshua Eyre, and Alyssa Eberhardt (Chris Horton). Arlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gary, and her daughter, Janet (Dennis) Harrill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30th, at 1:00 pm at the Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel, located at 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights. To view this service, please go to the services section and click on “JOIN LIVESTREAM”.
Shiva will take place at the Katzner residence, 32931 Popham Lane, Solon, OH, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday. Additional Shiva hours are scheduled from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday.
