Boris was a brilliant professional engineer with a deep love for travel, good food, automobiles, cycling, and—most of all—his family and friends. He was known for his sharp intellect, curiosity about the world, and the warmth and kindness he brought to everyone around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sima Kogan; his son, Oleg Kogan; his stepson, Alex Demutskiy (Angela); his stepdaughter, Lina Talis (Edward); his step-grandson, David Talis; and his sister, Anna Galperin (Alexandr).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Solon, Ohio.
