Bruce is pre-deceased by his parents Louis and Dorothy (Schwartz) Schaffer, son Joshua, and his companion Maria Flaherty.
Bruce's survivors include children Gabriel (Margaret), Nathaniel, Rebecca (Steve), and Daniel Patrick. Bruce is also survived by his sister, Renee Schaffer Jablonski (Thomas), and his grandchildren Hazel, Joshua, Rowan, Adelaide, and Eliza.
Professionally he was a civil engineer and computer programmer, but he was also an avid art collector and pickleball player.
He will be missed by his many friends with whom he formed many strong bonds and relationships.
Bruce's memorial service will be held on April 11, 2025 at 1:00pm at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel located at:
1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.
A celebration of his life will follow, time and location to be announced at the service.
