At the time of her death, Carole resided in Solon and lived in the Cleveland area for a total of 65 years. She was born in the town of Malverne on Long Island in New York and moved to Cleveland when she was 8 years old, with her parents, Harry Bach (deceased) and mother Beatrice Lesser Bach (deceased), her brother Stanley Bach (deceased) and her sister Fay Bach Levitt (deceased). Carole graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1951 and attended Ohio State University, where she was a student of the fine arts. Carole was a natural artist and had a passion for needlepoint and knitting, which she did as a hobby throughout her lifetime. Eventually, after raising her three children, she became a professional designer of needlepoint patterns and sweaters. She began by designing and making needlepoint patterns at “And Sew On…”, where she worked with her dear friend, Iona Dettelbach. Carole won several awards for her original and unique needlepoint designs. Ultimately, she started her own company and label, “CaroleA”, designing and making hand knitted, high fashion sweaters that she sold to department stores and boutiques throughout the country, including New York City (Fifth Avenue) and Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive). Often times her sweaters were featured in window displays at Saks Fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus and Elizabeth Arden.
Carole also loved tennis. She played both singles and doubles at various times throughout her life and spent a lot of her free time watching tennis.
Carole belonged to Park Synagogue and was a member of the synagogue’s sisterhood. At various times, she also volunteered for ORT.
Carole was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Gerald Arnson, her sons Craig Arnson (Lise Marinelli), Scott Arnson (Yaffa Arnson), Todd Arnson (Janice Arnson), her grandchildren, Max, Sam, Natanel, Avital, Eli, Uri, Yisroel, Elijah, Amanda, Marcus Marinelli and Grace Lawrence, and her great grandchild, Leo Alleman.
