I'll miss you man sorry we didn't get more time

Dear Alan and all of Davids loved ones,
Been thinking of all of you and David daily. My heart breaks for you. Hoping the support, love, and prayers everyone is sending to you-along with the magnetic, vibrant, gutsy life David has lived and his love for you, will help during this unimaginably tragic shocking time. David was a very giving person. I was one of the  Founders of a Treatment Ctr. called Freedom House. David assisted many of the residents with their struggles with Alcohol and Drugs. He also assisted many others who worked in the area of Law Enforcement. He never said NO if asked to talk to a person in need. HE WAS MY FRIEND AND WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY MANY.

I'm shocked and sad what a great man he gave a little of himself everyday to everyone

Dear Alan:  I am saddened to learn of the loss of your beloved brother.  You and your family are in my prayers. I pray you find peace and strength through these difficult days and that the memory of your dear brother will help ease some of your pain.

I am so sad to hear about David's passing.  We were friends and classmates since elementary school.  He really seemed so happy when I spoke to him at our Class of 1977 Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving and after one of his performances in Mary Poppins.  He was so funny and such a great guy.  He will be missed so much.

A great lawyer, we all 3 started together at the Cuyahoga County Public Defender's Office. He was an amazing trial litigator!  Another PD legal candle extinguished too soon!  We unfortunately are out of town till next Friday. Our thoughts and prayers to his whole family! RIP David!!

So sorry for your loss. Dave was an amazing funny guy that my entire family loved. He was always the life of the party. He helped me when I needed it the most. Every single time I saw him he brightened my day and put a smile on my face.

I am saddened to hear this and extend my condolences to Davids family. We grew up as neighbors and friends and shared many great times together.

Very saddened to hear of David's passing. Knew him professionally through our Justice Center interactions and personally also. David was a character to be sure who will be missed by many. Diane and I will miss our poolside chats at Lifetime this summer. Condolences to the family

I was so sad to here of David's passing. He always had a smile on his face and a great story to tell. He will truly be missed at the Justice Center especially on the 11th Floor. Safe home David.

David's extended family at Beachwood Community Theater is heartbroken.  We extend our condolences to Patricia and to his family.  The outpour of love for David is evident on his Facebook page.  Hearing the children and fellow cast members speak of him memorializes David in a way that would make him smile knowing how special he was to all of us.  He will forever be our friend and his kindness will forever be in our hearts.

Alan, My heart is absolutely broken to hear of David's passing.  May he forever rest in peace.  May your heart heal quickly with all of the wonderful memories you have of your brother.

Alan....David and I worked out at Lifetime together....We were always talking in the locker room or in the gym area....He worked out like he was on a mission...dropping a great deal of weight.  I remember telling him how great he looked and he really did...We laughed about the past...talked about the courthouse....a couple of his vacations...we talked about you and it was easy to tell how much he loved you.  He really was an amazing guy after all that he went through, he never gave up....incredibly strong person.  He really did like practicing law....He was still enthused with it...I remember him coming up to me in the gym to tell me that a lawyer we knew had just passed away...I joked with him that I did not want to hear anymore doom and gloom messages like that and we both laughed....I'm so sad that he is no longer around to tell me anything good or bad....He really loved you and your kids...Don Riemer

I am shocked to hear of Dave's passing. He was a great neighbor and friend. He was the best company at our family gatherings, and he was always jamming on the guitar and singing tunes. I'm going to miss his smile, his laugh, and his jokes. No matter what mood you were in Dave would have you smiling in moments. He was loved by many and will be missed.

Alan, please know that there is an outpouring of grief and condolences on Facebook, on the loss of your brother and our friend David. We all grieve with you! David was a friend of many years and a classmate. He will surely be missed by all who were touched by his wit and friendship.

I'm stunned and saddened to hear of David's demise.  We always referred to each other as " roomies" because our mothers' shared a room after giving birth to us. RIP David
