Edythe Judith Hirsch

September 10, 1922 - January 5, 2026

Edythe Judith Hirsch age 103 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Herman and Ester Senders and devoted wife of the late Alvin Robert ‘Bob’ Hirsch. She was preceded in death by her sister Gert Lefkowitz (Rabbi M.L. Lefkowitz), and her brothers Nelson ‘Sonny’ and Mike Senders.

Edythe is survived by her brother, Rabbi David Senders; her cherished children Jeffrey and Sheryl; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews and dear friends who loved her. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:30 pm, at Zion Memorial Park, 5461 Northfield Road, Bedford Heights, Ohio.

The family will observe Shiva at the home of Dr. Shelly and Debi Senders 2489 Beachwood Blvd, Beachwood, Ohio 44122

Wednesday, January 7, from 7:00-9:00 pm; and on Thursday from 9:30 am-12 noon, 1:00 pm-4:30 pm and 7:00 pm-9pm.

Additional Shiva will be observed on Friday, January 9, 7:00-9:00 am at 2077 Cornwall, Building D, Boca Raton, Florida 33434. Shiva will continue on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with visiting from 9:30am-12 noon, 1:00pm-4:30pm and 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Young Israel of Cleveland and the Fuchs Mizrachi School.
