

Ellen Weinhouse, PhD, 76, passed away this week. She was a psychologist who dedicated her career to working with special needs clients in northeast Ohio. Ellen also served for many years on the board of her Homeowner’s Association in Euclid.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ellen was an accomplished jewelry artisan, showcasing her creations at numerous local art shows. She delighted in cooking for friends, often using her beloved mother’s cherished recipes, and enjoyed entertaining with her piano and flute music.
She is survived by her cousins Barbara (Jerry), Zwick Federman, Sharon (William) Zwick Hamilton, and Diane (Robert) Frisch Saffran. She also will be dearly missed by her special friend, Bruce Ente and many other friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, located at 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights. Shiva will be observed at the Acacia Park Apartments party room, 2201 Acacia Park Drive, Lyndhurst, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday only.
Contributions in memory of Ellen may be made to the Cleveland Sight Center or Cleveland Music Settlement.
