

GOETZ FLORENCE GOETZ (nee Mantel), born August 13, 1920 and died September 26, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Albert E. Goetz; loving mother of Sandra (Carl Puckett) of Los Angeles, Martin (Jennifer) of Nashville, TN and Barry (Louise Jezierski) of Okemos, MI; loving grandmother to Danyel Misha, Mario, Callum, Sarah and Austin. Florence was born to Elias and Lillian (nee Weiss) Mantel, also of Cleveland, and was sister to Sol (deceased) and is survived by her beloved and devoted sister, Annette Kleinman Markell. Florence is also survived by many loving nephews and grand nephews as well a nieces and grand nieces. Florence was the past president of Mantel and Goetz Furniture, a business that she ran with her husband for over 25 years. That business grew out of the original Mantel’s Furniture and Appliance on E. 105th Street in Glenville that was owned by her father. One of Flo’s proudest achievements was graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Miami University in 1942. A graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Flo was a longtime resident of Beachwood where she lived for 62 years. She loved tennis, golf, dancing and playing Bridge, but most of all, her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS., on Monday, September 30 at 10 AM. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive visitors MONDAY FOLLOWING INTERMENT UNTIL 8 PM AND TUESDAY FROM 1 TO 6 PM ONLY.
