

Fran E. Doris, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and community service. She was the loving wife of Mark Doris and a proud mother to Michael (Robyn) Doris and Andrew (Samantha) Doris. Fran's heart was filled with joy as she embraced her role as a grandmother to Max, Archie, Reid, Aria, and Shai Doris, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
Born to the late Myra and Harold Nitowsky, Fran was a dear sister to Daniel (Cheryl) Nitowsky and a treasured sister-in-law to Alan and Nancy Doris. She was also a cherished aunt and loving niece to Joyce Lotters, whose bonds of family were a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Fran was not only a devoted family member but also a passionate community activist. She served as the President of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), where her leadership and dedication made a significant impact. Fran was a member of the Advisory Board for Ahuja Medical Center and a board member of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Her commitment to philanthropy was evident in her involvement with the Lions of Judah, where she worked tirelessly to uplift and support her community. Additionally, Fran was the CEO of Mars Electric, where her professional accomplishments were matched only by her personal integrity and warmth.
Her life was a testament to the power of love, service, and dedication. Fran's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, August 18, at 11 AM at the B'nai Jeshurun Congregation, located at 27501 Fairmount Blvd., Pepper Pike, Ohio 44124. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Beechmont Country Club, 29600 Chagrin Blvd., Orange, Ohio 44122, on Monday following the services and interment until 4 PM, and again from 6 PM to 8 PM. Additional visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.
