Gary A Kazdin

Gary Allen Kazdin, born on June 26,1936, passed away on April 30, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Barbara Brown, his children Kathy Warne (Bobby), Lori Whisman (Brad), Mathew Kazdin (Nickie), Michael Kazdin, Loren (Claire) Schlachet, Rebecca (Brent Kirvel) Schlachet and Brother-in- Law, Marc Brown who was a true brother to him in every way. He was the adored grandfather of Jacqueline, Ryan, Kyle, Daniel, Lana, Skylar, and Star, and Uncle to Brad and David Mallie. Gary cherished his parents, Marian and Maurice Kazdin and his late sister Jeannie Mallie. In his early years Gary enjoyed working at his family’s restaurants alongside his beloved father and mother. Gary will be most remembered for his boundless kindness to all and his heart of gold. He embraced everyone he encountered with genuine caring and willingness to help with their needs. He never failed to have a smile and loved to make those around him laugh. His lengthy career as an accomplished attorney spanned over 60 years and provided him with the opportunity to help countless clients who became his friends. Gary most enjoyed time with his family and closest friends, playing golf, reading, war movies and being a life long history buff. His biggest joy was sharing his life with his wife Barbara; they loved to travel together and Gary cherished hours spent each night enjoying Barbara’s lovingly prepared dinners and her company. He will be missed deeply by all who were honored to know him.

Graveside services will be held on May 3, 2026, 2pm at Bet Olam Cemetery 25796 Chagrin Boulevard Beachwood, Ohio 44122. Shiva will follow at 4 pm- 7 pm details will be provided by the Rabbi.
