She was born on September 4, 1930, to Harry and Ida Kaye. In the 1950s, Helene moved from New Jersey to Cleveland, where she built a life rooted in family, community, and service. She was deeply involved in civic life, dedicating her time to the local school board and numerous community initiatives.
Helene was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and the beloved matriarch of her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones and creating lasting memories across generations.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael Broidy (Lisa Jarahian), Joan Morgenstern (Robert Valente), and Roberta Malton (Mark Malton); her grandchildren, Jessica Levine (Lowell Plotkin), Rebecca Bacso (Matt Bacso), and Harry Morgenstern (Ali Morgenstern) and her great-grandchildren, Ilan and Liel Levine, Alet Plotkin, and Eli Morgenstern.
She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Edward Broidy; and her sister, Ruth Spector.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery in Solon, Ohio, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
