Hermine Eisen

July 13, 1939 – September 16, 2025

Hermine Eisen, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born to Alexander and Lillian Greene on July 13, 1939, Hermine grew up with a strong sense of determination and compassion. She earned her law degree from Cleveland State University in 1981 and went on to practice law with integrity and dedication.

Hermine was a lifelong lover of books especially science fiction and mysteries—and enjoyed playing bridge with friends and family. Her quick wit, warmth, and wisdom will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving children: Barbara Simon, Abigail Raiz (Danny), and Brian Eisen (Robin); her cherished grandchildren: Alec (Jessica), Marisa (Austin), Zane, Wyatt, Delaney, Lauren, and Aaron; and four great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Hermine was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Saul Eisen, and her brother William Greene.

A private funeral service will be held. Family will sit shiva on Friday 3-6pm at 23176 Lyman Blvd. in Shaker Heights.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women at Case Western Reserve University.
