Dolly set the standard for all who loved her by being a fiercely independent woman bucking the stereotype of the times. She obtained a BA from the University of Michigan in speech pathology. Before starting her career, she traveled to Europe, which began her love of travel, serving as a role model for her kids and grandkids.
She was an accomplished cook, loved to entertain, including hosting multiple family holidays. She shared a passion for the Cleveland Orchestra with her husband Norman, and enjoyed skiing, boating and playing tennis. Dolly also had a long career at Cleveland Scholarship program as an advisor to high school students seeking college education.
Dolly shared 62 remarkable years of her life with her husband Norman. She is survived by her sons Eric and Glenn, daughters in law Elaine Shulman and Jessica, grandchildren Mark, Matthew, Max, Ari, Talya and Zev, and brother Jerry Silverman (wife Beth).
