Beloved wife of the late Donald Kumin and her former husband Aaron Zeiger; devoted mother of Cindy (Howie), Jodi (Rich, deceased), Robby (Lisa); dear sister of Norman Magden (deceased); loving grandmother of Adam, Matthew, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah and Hannah; dearly loved great-grandmother of Riley, Maya and Asher; cherished step-mother to Michael, Robin and Jeremy Kumin.
Private funeral services were held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 and was laid to rest November 24th at Beth El Mausoleum (Boca).
Our beloved Mom led a full and active life. Her days were filled with family fun times and close friends in her golfing community, where she spent so much of her time; she loved playing golf, and would only consider playing 18 holes, never 9! For the past ten years she chaired the golf club’s member-guest event, creating beautiful centerpieces showcasing her incredibly creative side and her love of hand crafts!
Our Mom loved the arts; the ballet, theatre, jazz music. She loved to travel with her late husband Donald Kumin, visiting many countries. She also loved going out to Los Angeles and Lake Tahoe to see her children Cindy and Robby and found so much joy seeing her grandchildren and great-grand children while there. She had so much fun on a Mediterranean cruise she and Jodi took over the summer and found so much joy observing other cultures.
One of her greatest qualities was that she was so open-minded to people from all walks of life, willing to always hear someone else’s point of view, without judging. Our Mom had an endearing curiosity about people and loved conversation. She loved talking to her granddaughter Rebecca about nutrition and health, for she took great care of herself, looking so much younger than her years; she ate well (loved her red wine), worked out with her trainer Jay twice a week, and golfed three times a week! Our Mom also had a passion for cooking; from cooking for the Jewish Holidays to making the best apple pie and she cooked with such expertise, beautifully and effortlessly!
There is no kinder soul; we will miss our beautiful Mother and miss seeing her beautiful face, her elegance in all she did, the very best secret-keeper and having the greatest laugh of all time!
She was a constant source of comfort and closeness to us all- we could always count on her love, loyalty and devotion.
Our hearts are forever broken. Our love will always surround our beautiful beloved Mother, and she will live on in all of us.
We love you, Mom.
