Jackie Matt

Jackie Matt, 72, of Cleveland, passed away on January 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Morris Matt and Phyllis (Inbender) Matt.

Jackie attended Case Western Reserve University, and spent most of her career in electronics sales at Targetronix Company in Solon, Ohio. Though private by nature, Jackie was a devoted friend and neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She found great peace in nature, spending countless hours tending to her garden. For many years, she was a familiar face in the neighborhood, walking daily with her beloved dog, "Blue." Even after Blue’s passing, Jackie maintained her daily walks, always stopping to chat with friends and neighbors.

Jackie was known throughout her life for her work ethic and her steadfast loyalty to her friends. She was a woman of quiet strength and independence.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Lawrence Matt.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Park Synagogue. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery, Solon, OH.

In honor of Jackie’s life and her love for her community and animals, the family suggests donations be made to InMotion, NCJW Cleveland, or the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
