Devoted grandfather of Alexander Lee (Kate) Telis, Michael Charles (Anna Rose King) Telis, Dr. Devon Rhiannon (Bryan) King, Jonathan David Charles, Camille L. Bush, Douglas J. Bush and the late Justin Daniel Charles. Great grandfather of Liam Zelig McNair Telis, Willow Rose King Telis, Grant Justin King and Carson Laura King. Dear brother of the late Irene Weiss. Services will be held Friday, June 30 at 1 PM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Jason was raised in Cleveland, Ohio where he attended local schools and received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Case Institute of Technology. Jason proudly served as a Sergeant in the 79th Engineer Construction Battalion of the U. S. Army, from 1942 through 1946 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He had a distinguished career at the Dow Chemical Company, and Dow International, having designed a variety of chemical plants for sites in the United States, Spain, Japan, Indonesia, and Brazil. Jason loved music, the arts and sports, and especially enjoyed playing and watching baseball and football. While living in Midland, Michigan he acquired a love of sailing, spending numerous enjoyable hours with his wife Laura , and with other family, and friends sailing around various Michigan waterways. Jason spent an active and enriching retirement in Florida. In his last years he found companionship and happiness with Penney Stern.
