What a joy it was to me to have served as Judy's School Director and Executive Director at Suburban Temple-Kol Ami!  Judy was truly collaborative, loved her students, embraced curricular and textbook change and excelled in leading family education experiences.  Never judgmental of anyone's beliefs or practices, she worked just beautifully with parents and led family education sessions for her classes with ease and creativity.  We at Suburban were truly blessed to have had Judy on our staff and are so grateful that it was mentioned so prominently both in her death notice and in the eulogy.  Her funeral was beautiful and I was moved to tears by the touching tributes by you, her children.  Please know she will be eulogized in our next Temple Bulletin. My deepest condolences to Alan , Brian, Leslie,  Cathy and all of the grandchildren.  Judy was a sweetheart......always had a smile on her face and like my wife,   Arlene, lit up a room with her smile when she walked through the door.   I will always remember her as the vivacious, beautiful young lady she was when I first met her.  Also, I fondly remember all the family get-to-gethers with everyone when the children were young.  Judy will be missed! 

Judy will be greatly missed.  I enjoyed her vivacity from the time we first met at Ohio State through her many happy years with Alan.

Our heart goes out to you during this extremely difficult time.  I can still remember the ache and immense sadness I felt losing my mother, and Peter can as well.  Judy was a strong woman (like those Epstein woman are! )who helped shape many lives, and yours were the most important ones to her. Sending our deepest condolences to Alan and the family. Judy was a wonderful person who was always enjoyable to be with.  She had a fabulous sense of humor. We will always have fond memories of being with her and Alan on many social occasions.

I remember she got married during the year she was my third grade teacher. At that age, I did not understand the concept of someone changing their last name. I thought when she returned with a new name she would be a new and different person. I also remember that she was a very good and kind teacher.

Mrs. Sims, as she was to me, was my 3rd grade teacher at Northwood in 1958.  She started out as Miss Epstein and got married during  that year.  She obviously left an impression on me, as I remember her as a wonderful teacher, one of my favorites.   We lived across the street from Northwood School and my mother invited our teachers to lunch at our house...I'm sure  Mrs. Sims was one of our guests!  My deepest sympathies to her family.  I hope that the special memories  you have will bring you comfort during this difficult time.
