Lenore Stern

Lenore was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and obtained a degree in pharmacy from The Ohio State University, where she was one of 3 women in her class. She remained an enthusiastic Buckeye throughout her life.

In addition to caring for her family and practicing pharmacy for over 50 years, Lenore was an avid golfer. She won several tournaments and when 71 years old scored a hole-in-one at Chardon Lakes Golf Course. She was also passionate about ice skating, continuing well into her 80s. She loved music, played three instruments, and sang.

Lenore was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Howard S. Stern, and adored little brother Leonard Heiman. Lenore is survived by her three children, Craig (Kelly) of Virginia Beach, Kathy of Houston, Texas, and Brian (Susie) of Cleveland Heights; grandchildren, Caleb (Mary) Stern, Sarah (Michael) Brotherton, Ben (Kaylee) Stern, Beth (Ted) Shaffer, Adam (Casey) Weaver, Max (Beka) Weaver, Jennifer (Christopher) Sarma, and Laura (Matthew) Small. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.

A private family service will celebrate her life.
