I was saddened to learn of Leona's recent passing. I have fond memories of Leona from our high school days at Sir Winston Churchill High School. She was a warm, friendly and kind individual and ever so smart. My deepest sympathies to all of her family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Leona in decades but I remember she had a lovely, warm smile. May you be comforted knowing she was a source of love and healing.

I offer my sincere condolences to Leona's family. It was my privilege to have been her colleague and friend throughout McGill undergraduate and medical school, and I remember her fondly as a kind, gentle and brilliant individual.  She accomplished a great deal in her relatively short life, none of it was wasted. I wish strength, peace, and comfort to her family.

I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of my dear colleague and friend Leona and send my most sincere condolences to her beloved family.  I have had the greatest affection for her since she was a fellow with us at UCSF.  Through the years when we spoke of medicine she always spoke of the family that she adored.  While she was always precise and professional she had the greatest warmth that captivated all who encountered her.  There is a picture of her on the Internet that shows her delightful smile that all of us recall.  I relied on her wisdom in matters of ethics, policy and medicine and was impressed with her devotion to the junior faculty she nurtured.  All of her colleagues held her in the highest esteem and our international community mourns her deeply.  She epitomized the noble comments that define "A Woman of Valor". Her life was a blessing.

I am very sorry to hear this sad news. It has been many many years but I remember Leona and how smart she was. My deepest sympathies to your families.
