It has been almost two years since Lesli has passed on,but there has not been a day I have not thought of her,she lives on forever,and to Abigail,and Adam your mom is watching over you with love..

Lesli was a great pediatric faculty member. The students and I love her and miss her. She loved her family and she loved teaching and working with the children. Prayers for all who love and miss her. She will shine in our memories - Dr. Frances Anne Freitas, Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus.

I only knew Lesli through Heinen's but she always had a kind word and a smile on her face.  She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Dear Berk family,

I send you my deepest condolences. I pray that God brings you all peace and comfort in this most difficult time. Abigail, it was a pleasure being your music teacher. I remember how dedicated you were especially in taking voice lessons and your mom was often the one who would pick you up afterwards. It was so nice talking with her. When we would talk about your progress and growth and the different activities you and Adam were involved in, it was always so clear how proud of you two your mom was and how much she loves you both.

So sorry for your loss.  I only worked with Lesli a handful of times on the postpartum unit, but her strength and determination were undeniable and inspiring.  May her children know that their mother was a graceful warrior; fighting until the end.  May God bless her children and help them find peace in the many loving memories of their mother.

I pray that all of you heal from the sadness and carry on together as a family. Lesli would want that. She loves you all and would want nothing more than to see your happiness. Although it is the hardest thing you will ever have to do,it will get a little easier each day. She is always watching over you. You have alot of family and friends here for you-take advantage of it! I pray for each of you,happiness,health and peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! I had the opportunity to work over the past 14-15 years with Lesli in two arenas. The first was at FPB where we both taught pediatric clinicals, then at MetroHealth where we both worked on the inpatient pediatric department.  Lesli loved teaching and helping as she educated, to mode future nurses! The way she lived and fought is definitely a testimony! I will miss her! Thank you for sharing her with us!

Especially sad for the children of Lesli left behind.  Our thoughts are with them.  Cherish the beautiful memories and seek a bit of comfort in the 46th Psalm vs. 1.

My condolences on the loss of a dear lovely mother and wife. I had met her only briefly on my hospital visit as Jewish chaplain of UH and despite the many patients I visit - who she was left a strong impression on me.

Hello Berk family.  It was a pleasure to work with Leslie for over 10 years.  She was always a caring, kind and compassionate nurse to her patients, co workers and her students.  The nursing field has lost a great nurse.  She will be missed by all who had the chance to know her.  Will always be in my memory.  R.I.P.

I did not know Leslie well but always enjoyed meeting up with her and chatting. She was kind, sweet and funny. She loved her family and was so proud of all you did. She is resting in peace and will always be in your hearts.
