Last summer, when Gary and Lynn were traveling between Gary's family reunion in Alabama and hiking in Yellowstone, they stopped for a visit with Greg and me for a couple days in North Carolina... it was a great visit, and one day we took my neighbor's '57 Chevy for a spin around town. I love these smiling faces in the car, so happy for this memory. We all miss her sweet face...

Of course the bikes, ALWAYS! Lynn was the best bike rider, I never could keep up with her.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Lynn's loved ones. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Lynn on many Why Not Adventure hikes over the past year. I loved her upbeat energy and delightful spirit. Godspeed, Lynn <3

Lynn and I definitely had a hate-love relationship.  At times, she did irritate me.  She had issues with me too.  However, Lynn and I hiked alone several times.  She would ask to go with me when I was trying to find a new hike or bike route. I enjoyed those alone times with her.  She would talk about the adventurous life she had.  But, mostly she talked about Trent, Taylor, Taryn and Tatum.  Band, football, gymnastics, camping, school.,…
She loved them so much.  Although she is gone now, they will have life-long memories of a grandma who had endless energy and a passion for nature and adventure that I’m sure will stick with them throughout their lives.   What a special grandma.  What a special person.   She knew how to enjoy life. 
Lynn, always remember the hills will put hair in your chest!

Lynn and I exchanged quick texts before Thanksgiving.  While she wasn't able to participate in the Cranksgiving ride, she expressed interest in meeting and catching on the latest news.  She couldn't wait to share more about the wonderful guy she met who shares her wanderlust and interest in the out of doors....all 14K RV miles of it!
I will miss many things about Lynn:  her effervescence, love of - and devotion to - family, her eagerness to live fully with her friends, her contagious laugh.     As a woman and friend always on the move, I can see Lynn  trading the grandiosity of our planet for the  heavenly stars and planets above as she adventures on.

Sad to hear of Lynn’s passing.Met Lynn while cycling the Samuel Justus trail in Pennsylvania.She wanted to do a longer ride and I obliged!Very energetic woman.

Lynn always had a new trail to explore, this the Maple Highlands trail. There are definitely some I never would have made it to without her dragging me out!

Today I learned Lynn’s new favorite pastime- bragging about Gary! His coleslaw (it was very good), his telescope (the wood one, very cool). She knew exactly what she wanted in a partner and somehow manifested the perfect one. I’m so grateful she had such an amazing year, that we all got to experience her joy

Lynn had her phone set to take photos with her voice instead of a push of a button. All she had to do was say “smile” and the photo was taken. Imagine encountering this little lady walking up to trees and flowers DEMANDING they “smile.” That memory still makes me smile

Lynn and I from time to time did not always agree on everything, but it never came between us. Her love of nature and all its wonders link us together no matter what.  She went on many trips I had planned for our Whynot Adventure group and was always extremely grateful.
She definitely added spice to our group and will be dearly missed. 
One of her favorite places was Hocking Hills. and mine too.

To the family of Lynn Freeman,
My very sincere condolences on the loss of your mother and grandmother.  She was loved by many.  I enjoyed her love of life.  I will miss hiking and cycling with her, and conversations about her next adventure. The last time we spoke we discussed her new adventures  across the country in her RV.  I will miss her dearly.  She was an amazing lady.

Sam & I always enjoyed Lynn’s enthusiasm for our biking adventures.

Lynn spoke about her beautiful family whenever we rode, especially of her grandchildren.  

We will always have fond memories of our dear friend Lynn.

Lynn and I were roommates on a bike trip in Xenia several years ago.  We had fun, especially when she was calling Alexa in the middle of the night!  She thought she was home and wanted Alexa to check the room temperature.  We both cracked up about that the next day!  I will miss her on the Spinoff bike rides.

I was so saddened to hear this. Lynn was such a charismatic individual. I rode with her quite a few times and she always welcomed everyone with a wonderful smile. Her sense of humor was such a joy to all of her friends. She will truly be missed by so many. My condolences to all her family and many friends

I shared a wonderful trip with Lynn last summer. We went to Germany with a few other people and rode two separate bike tours. We had a great time. She was full of energy and I will miss her.

Lynn will be so missed.  Lynn was always encouraging and ready for an adventure especially cycling and hiking.  Her enthusiasm will be irreplaceable to all the people she touched in the cycling and hiking as well as the other communities she touched.
Lynn's adventures were a joy to watch.  An inspiration to not go quietly, meekly or without joy.
My sympathy to her loved ones and their loss and hope they can find comfort in the shared joy and loss of so many.

Lynn had a very enthusiastic personality, particularily when it came to hiking and biking. Even though she tended to ride challenging, long rides, she was always ready to ride with people who were just starting to bike or those building back their strength and going shorter distances. 
She was a very supportive and loyal friend. I think her beautiful spirit will live on for many years throughout the hiking and biking community.

Had a great trip to Wyoming with Lynn and Gary.  She loved the outdoors    I will miss her sense of humor, her laughter, and smile.  See will be missed.

So sorry for your loss.  I met Lynn through the WhyNots.  We hiked and biked together often. She always encouraged and challenged.me as a new cyclist. I enjoyed sharing stories of our grandkids as we both share the importance of our families.  I will.miss her welcoming smile and energetic spirit.

Lynn called me this summer when she needed someone to bike with.  She showed me three new trails that I never did before which I am so grateful for.  I am not sure how god packed so much energy in that little body.  She would bike quarter mile ahead of me, then come back and get me!!  I could not keep up.  Talked to me so so much to me about her children and grandchildren which she loved so so much.  Raking leaves and sporting events.  My live is so much more rich for having known her.

While biking with Lynne she always spoke of her wonderful family times, especially moments with her grandchildren. I am so sorry for your loss as well as our loss.  We will miss you Lynne!

I rode many miles with the Spin-off bike club with Lynn.  She was a good rider with many good stories to tell. She spoke very highly of her family and their many adventures. She will be missed.

Even though it has probably been 25 years since I have seen Lynn, I vividly remember my sleepovers at her house when Rachel and I were best friends. Lynn would always make sure I was comfortable, fed and always welcomed me, eve though I feel like it was every weekend I slept there lol. I am so sorry for the family’s loss and will be thinking about you Rachel.

I am so very sad to hear of Lynne's death. She was a fellow member of nEo Adventurers and was always excited to be outdoors and sharing her enthusiasm whether it was hiking or riding her bike. She'll be missed.
