Marc Ullman, son of the late Irving and Lillian Ullman, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, the morning of February 15, 2026.
Born on New Year’s Day in 1957 and raised in Cleveland, Marc built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and showing up for people.
A proud member of IBEW Local 38, he began his career as a journeyman electrician in 1977. In 1985, he founded Ullman Electric in the basement of his home and grew it through grit, skill, and passion - a real love for what he did. He believed in doing things the right way; there were no shortcuts with hard work. Alongside his brother, Ron, it was truly a family shop. Over 40 years, always remaining humble, together with his guys, they built the business into what it is today.
A tradesman through and through, a true craftsman, and a man who earned everything with his hands; he never stopped moving - always getting things done. The only thing he couldn’t do was sit still. If he said he was going to do something, it happened; he always found a way. There was nothing he couldn’t do, build, fix, or dream. He would drive across the country or fly across the world at a moment’s notice to move mountains for the people he loved. Time and time again, showing up for friends, neighbors, coworkers - even people he just met - but he did the most for his family. There was no limit to his love. He was a mentor to many, and above all, a man of his word. Outside of work, he lived fully. A man of many interests, he did everything with love - always authentic, eccentric, and genuinely creative - an artist in his own way. A free thinker and a nonconformist, he was innovative, high energy, and built the life he lived. Few people are all gas, no brakes - but Marc was all diesel. He lived and moved with intention. No time was wasted.
Marc is survived by his wife, Suzi (Nakashige), whom he married in 1989, and shared 37 years of loving marriage. He was the devoted father of Fallon Zatorski (Mike), Taylor Ullman (David Silverstein), Chase Ullman (Gina), and Devan Ullman. He was the proud grandfather of Sophie and Aiden Zatorski and Masi Ullman. He was a loving dog dad to Mochi and Miko. He is also survived by his brother, Ron Ullman.
Given a prognosis of just a few months, he fought glioblastoma courageously for over a year with strength and optimism, carried by the love and care of his family. His glass never emptied and always remained full.
A devoted husband, steadfast father, loyal brother, true friend, guiding mentor, and above all, a person of rare and enduring love. Marc Ullman was the greatest of men.
