

Rachel Sindell (nee Gilboa), age 67, of Pepper Pike, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was a sabra, born March 31, 1956 and raised in Haifa, whose mother (age 96) is an Auschwitz survivor.
Rachel was an outstanding professional pianist who had her own band in Israel, which provided entertainment at Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, hotels and parties.
She served in the Israeli Army and attended medical school in Israel before emigrating in the late 1980’s to Canada and then the United States. Here she obtained a music performance degree at Cleveland State University and thereafter, also at Cleveland State, a JD law degree, followed by a degree in nursing. Rachel then obtained a degree as a Certified Nurse Practitioner at the Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve.
She held Ohio licenses as an attorney, an RN and a CPN. She joined her husband, Steven Sindell, in creating the law firm of Sindell and Sindell, LLP, which specializes in employment-related cases for employees and executives. In addition, they specialize in professional medical license defense on behalf of health providers, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, chiropractors, psychiatrists, psychologists, veterinarians, social workers, et cetera.
Her daughter, Jessica Sindell, is the Assistant Principal Flute in the Cleveland Orchestra. Her son, Daniel Sindell, is a successful businessman who lives in Florida.
Rachel was deeply respected and loved by many who miss her and mourn her premature loss at age 67.
Beloved wife of Steven Sindell; devoted mother of Jessica (Peter Kanuika) Sindell of Shaker Hts, OH and Daniel Sindell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; cherished sister-in-law of Carol Sindell of Portland, OR. Rachel doted on her grand-dog babies Sophie and Fiona.
