Bob was a very special person. Exceptionally kind and compassionate and extraordinarily committed to the community. Peggy and I will always be grateful for his friendship and leadership.

I served with Bob on the Malachi House Board and remember his great dedication to the cause of Malachi House, his wisdom and leadership. He led the Malachi House Board through our first strategic planning process, which greatly strengthened Malachi House to serve our residents and sustain our mission. His good work at Malachi House -- and in so many other areas -- lives on.

Bob Deitz stands out in my memory as one of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever met. It was through my work as international trade specialist for the USDOC, and I got to know him pretty well during xsome forty years of that work. My daughter, Cotnelia, remembers him as well. She accompanied me to business gatherings when my wife, Sara could not. Interestingly, Bob was bornn the same year as I. I know his family and friends will grieve over his loss, as I am saddened, too. Let me exttend my heartfelt condolences, knowing that surely there will be comfort in many good memories.

Dear Joie and Deedee, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Your dad was always kind to me and I have wonderful memories of our time as a family with you, your dad and mom. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. Bob was such a wonderful person. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. We always joked about an investment he made and he never let me forget it! Bob cared about everyone and showed a real concern for people's well-being. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

My sincerest condolences to Bob's Family. I've never known such a kind hearted genuine person who truly cared about the people he met. He has been a friend and a mentor to me and my family for 30 years.    Bob will be missed.

I worked for Mr. Deitz in 1986, he is a person who I have thought of often over the years.  He was an extremely kind, dignified person and always treated other people with dignity and respect.  I really feel that meeting him had a positive impact on my life, just to meet such a person.

I will miss Bob.  I knew him from his days at RPM.  He was such a gentleman.  I called him "Mr. T" because he always said that everyone was terrific -- never said anything bad about anyone.
