Robert Weiser

April 25, 1942 – March 28, 2026

Robert Weiser passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born on April 25, 1942, to Manny Weiser and Elsie Bernstein Weiser, Robert dedicated his life to education and community. He served as a math teacher in the Solon City Schools for 43 years, where he was especially committed to supporting the Academic Challenge program. Beyond the classroom, he was a familiar voice as a basketball announcer, a dedicated softball coach, and a lifelong amateur weatherman. He was a lifelong performer, singer, writer, director, most recently performing at nursing homes for the residents of senior centers.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Susan Weiser; his children, Amy Weiser Clevenger (Josh) and Russell Weiser; his cherished grandchildren, Phoenix and Kaia Clevenger; and his brother, Michael Weiser (Phyllis). He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert was an avid Cleveland sports fan, working at Progressive Field for several years.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bedford Heights, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Eliza at Chagrin Assisted Living or to the ASPCA.

Shiva will be held at Eliza at Chagrin Assisted Living, 16695 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. and Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
