Had lost touch with Shelley years ago but thought about her often and the good times we had together.  Recently I spoke with a mutual friend and planned on calling her to reconnect.  How sad that we didn't do it sooner.  

As I remember Shelley, she was kind, caring , and always had a smile for everyone.  My heart goes out to those she loved.

Every time I saw you, aunt Shelly, I felt happy because being around you, it was impossible to be anything but. That is the person you were and we will always have the love you shared in our hearts. Thank you, aunt Shelly.  I hope you know how much I love you- I'm so sorry I haven't seen you the last few months and really sorry my car wouldn't start today which kept me from making it to your funeral in person. I hope you know I was watching and thinking of you and I'll always love you.

As a young teenager from New York, I embarked on a train from New York, all alone to visit my great Aunt Dora and meet her family.  some of the Fried family had come to New york and I knew Shellys aunts and uncles.  I stay with Rochelle's family and enjoyed having so much fun with my new found cousins from Cleveland.  Of course they made fun of my New York Accent!  Rochelle, was a charming, sweet child with an infectious smile and she endeared herself to me.  Of course, Donna, her older sister was closest to my age and we kept up a long distance relationship. Fortunately, Donna came to New YOrk and stayed with my family and so I was kept abreast of the Fried family, etc.
Rochelle, made a tremendous impression on me...sweet and fun to be with!  My sincere sympathy to the Fried and Kubancik families.  May Shelly rest in peace. xxxcousin Lorraine Novak Cande

  "Shelly" Kubancik and me were not the closest of friends over the years but I sure enjoyed her company when we spent time together in Yahoo chat and citydiner chatrooms. 
   She had a great sense of humor and most definitely wasn't shy, she spoke her mind, was honest when she thought it necessary and was quiet when it deemed appropriate.
  Shelly will be missed by me and I'm sure many more even she wouldn't be aware of.
   Rest well sweet woman until the great resurrection promised by Christ. Psalm 37: 11, 29 Rev 21:1-4
